Jordan Pond Safari - Acadia National park Photo tour
Maximum group size: 6 people
Meets at: Jordan Pond - Island Explorer Bus Stop
Jordan Pond is at the center of the Acadia National Park. We will explore the paths along the pond and discuss depth of field techniques to improve your images. The boardwalks provide a great opportunity to incorporate leading lines into your compositions.
Following along the Jordan Stream, we will use slow shutter speeds to capture the motion of water. Throughout the workshop we will review and critique your images, suggesting small improvements to help reinforce your understanding of composition and exposure. Join this workshop and learn how to capture images of pond reflections, water movement, woodsy paths and architectural bridges in a natural, undisturbed environment.

"We had a great time on our photo safari at Jordon Pond. Howie is great and has a lot of knowledge to share. My wife shoots mostly on manual and has a good understanding of photography - the rest of the people in our group (including myself) shoot mostly on auto. I was worried that she'd be bored and wouldn't learn anything, but Howie did a great job of teaching all of us newbies while still providing enough advanced instruction that my wife learned a lot. We loved it, and she said after that it's her favorite activity over the last 2 weeks that we've been touring New England. We got some great photos, and more importantly, some lasting knowledge that will help us take better photos in the future. Thanks Howie - we hope to book another safari with you next time we're in the area!" – Mike L.
"Great decision for our vacation. I happened upon this activity months ago on Trip Advisor and booked a tour with some trepidation as I am not a camera enthusiast. One of my travel companions is an avid amateur photographer. I thought I would tag along and see the sights. I was presently surprised by how much I learned from Josh when that had not even been my intent. He was very engaging and knowledgeable. The weather did not cooperate but he did by rescheduling our tour on another day. My friend is so excited about what she learned and is eager to put it to use. If you are considering this tour by all means book it." – Joanna R.
